Tuesdays and Fridays Hardest Days to Get Doctor’s Appointment

iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Ever try making a doctor’s appointment on a Tuesday or Friday morning? Tough, isn’t it?
The doctor-booking website ZocDoc says Tuesday is the most desirable appointment day while Friday at 10 a.m. ranks as the most popular appointment request. Finishing second is Monday at 2 p.m.
By examining data from its 2.5 million monthly users over a year’s time, ZocDoc found that given the choice, patients will generally pick either 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. no matter what the day. Meanwhile, Wednesdays tend to be the slowest for appointments, which might explain why so many doctors take that day off.
ZocDoc also discovered that Mondays are the busiest for pediatricians as Fridays are for acupuncturists. Chiropractors tend to fill up their appointment books on Mondays and Fridays.
Meanwhile, those looking for the shortest wait time should schedule the first available slot after your doctor has had lunch.
