( REXBURG, ID ) – The old Burton Elementary School in Rexburg hasn’t housed students for years, making it a prime target for area vandals. The school has long been used by young people for break-ins and other illegal activities, and on Sunday night, eight people were caught inside. Authorities say it’s a common activity for people looking for a little Halloween-related fun to break into older buildings. The Madison School District, which uses the building for storage, has now installed security cameras in an effort to discourage would-be vandals.
