That’s the recommendation of researcher Mirim Shin from Australia’s Sydney University, whose team presented the study’s findings at the Sleep DownUnder conference in Brisbane.

It turns out that lightweight woolen pajamas help people get a sounder, quicker and longer sleep because the fabric offers better insulation and absorption qualities than cotton.

Shin added that her discovery was important because switching to another style of pajamas is simple and requires no major lifestyle changes unlike other suggested sleep aids.

However, it could take a while for Australian university students to change their sleep habits because another study revealed that a third prefer cotton, a third like synthetic material and the rest sleep in the nude.
