(WASHINGTON) — Jobless claims took a tumble last week, falling to 340,000, the Labor Department reported on Thursday.
For the week ending Oct. 26, the number of people filing for benefits dropped by 10,000. The previous week, claims stood at 350,000.
The four-week average, meanwhile, went up, increasing by 8,000 to 356,250.
