(BOSTON) — A week after breaking Boston College’s single-game rushing record with 295 yards, senior running back Andre Williams rushes for an ACC record 339 yards to help the Eagles soar past North Carolina State 38-21 Saturday.
Williams is now Boston College’s single-season rushing leader with 1,810 yards, passing Mike Cloud’s previous record of 1,726 yards that was set in 1998.
Williams, who entered the day as the nation’s leading rusher, also had two touchdowns in the win, as BC (6-4, 3-3 ACC) becomes bowl eligible for the first time since 2010.
It was the eighth time this season Williams rushed for over 100 yards in a game.
Quarterback Pete Thomas completed 22 of 33 passes for 207 yards and a touchdown in the loss.
North Carolina State (3-7, 0-7 ACC) has now lost six straight.
