(LOS ANGELES) — After going through a painful breakup earlier this year, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart look like they’re finally enjoying a cordial friendship.
A source tells E! Online there was “lots of animosity after the split,” but the former Twilight co-stars have “moved on and gradually gotten over it.”
“They are cordial now,” says the source. They “honestly believe they will not get back together. There is always a small chance, but I highly doubt it.”
E! also reports that close friends of Pattinson, 27, and Stewart, 23, were shocked when the entertainment website revealed the pair were spotted together earlier this week in Los Angeles.
One source told E! the actor’s friends are concerned about the reunion.
“He was on a break from talking to her. Rob was doing incredibly well and getting over her, she hurt him so much,” the insider said.
The couple broke up in May in the wake of Stewart’s 2012 fling with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.
Pattinson recently finished shooting The Rover in Australia. A release date for the film hasn’t been announced yet.
