Rose, who missed all of last season recovering from reconstructive surgery on his left knee, injured his right knee in the Bulls 98-95 loss to the Trail Blazers.

The injury occurred when Rose lost his footing trying to get back on defense in the third quarter with 3:20 remaining.  Rose was taken off the court following a timeout and was unable to put any weight on his right knee.

“He has pain and he felt like he couldn’t push off his right knee,” Head Coach Tom Thibodeau said of Rose, who did not return following the injury. “I’m concerned. Anytime anyone goes down, you’re concerned but I don’t want to speculate.”

The 2011 MVP was not made available to the media following the loss but was seen leaving the team locker room on crutches.  An MRI has been schedule for Saturday.
