“I don’t think it’s coming back,” he said when asked about his explosiveness. “It makes you rely more on footwork and skills versus athleticism.”

“I feel little sharp pains here and there, but it’s nothing too bad,” he added. “I feel all right. My timing’s off, but I haven’t played in a long time. I have skills. I have talent. I just need to get my timing back.”

Throughout most of his career, Bynum has dealt with knee injuries that have kept him from being one of the best players in the NBA. After spending the first seven seasons of his career with the Los Angeles Lakers, Bynum was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers last offseason. Bynum wound up missing the entire season, and never played a single minute for the team as he dealt with more knee issues.

During the 2011-2012 season with the Lakers, Bynum averaged 18.7 points and 11.8 rebounds per game.

During the summer, Bynum signed a free agent contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers. In three games this season, Bynum has averaged 6.0 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.
