(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – A 102-year-old monument to Civil War veterans in an Idaho Falls cemetery was rededicated on Monday. The monument in Rose Hill cemetery was rediscovered in September by Elaine Johnson after years of growth and bushes hid the stone edifice from view. Authorities contacted a representative of the Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War, who came up from Salt Lake City to rededicate the monument for Veterans Day, as well as honor those who fought in other conflicts across the globe.
