Delta Issues Weather Waiver For Travelers

Getty 112513 DeltaAirlines?  SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1385432734560Barry Williams/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — In anticipation of severe weather this Thanksgiving holiday, Delta Airlines issued a weather waiver Monday for those travelling to or from various cities in the Northeast.

“If your flight is canceled or significantly delayed, you are entitled to a refund,” a statement reads on Delta’s site.

Travellers may also make a one-time change without charge if scheduled to travel from a list of specific destinations.

Other airlines are expected to follow suit, with a winter storm forecasted to impact one of the busiest travel days of the year.

Amtrak tells ABC News a limited number of seats along the Northeast corridor are still available for Thanksgiving travel, but they are expected to sell out quickly as airlines start cancelling flights.
