Derrick Rose has Torn Meniscus
Published at(CHICAGO) — Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose didn’t receive good news, but it could have been worse following an MRI of his right knee Saturday.
Rose is out indefinitely with a medial meniscus tear of his right knee that will require surgery, the Bulls announced Saturday.
Rose, who missed all of last season recovering from a tear in his left ACL, has no timetable for his return, but others with similar injuries have recovered in a four to five week span.
Rose was injured in the third quarter of the Bulls’ loss to the Portland Trail Blazers Friday night
The 25-year-old Rose, a former league MVP and three-time All-Star, is averaging 15.9 points, 4.3 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game this season.
