Drug Dealer Could Face 20 Years in Prison

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – An Idaho Falls man could spend up to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to a felony charge of distributing methamphetamine. Twenty-six-year-old Sammy Aguirre admitted to picking up one pound of meth in Burley earlier this year, with the intent of selling it in Idaho Falls. However, he was stopped on the way home by Idaho State Police who found the drugs during a search of Aguirre’s car. A co-defendent, Emilio Martinez of Rigby, has already pleaded guilty to the same charge. Aguirre will be sentenced Jan. 29.
