( REXBURG, ID ) – The Idaho Food Bank is requesting 2,000 frozen turkeys to feed needy families during Thanksgiving. Local News 8 reports that the agency is working with the Madison County mobile food pantry to deliver holiday meals for those who need them. Organizers estimate that approximately 20,000 eastern Idaho families will require food assistance this year, since many of them saw their food stamps take a significant hit. They say donors can drop off food at Les Schwab and any homeless shelters in the region. To find out more or to volunteer, visit idahofoodbank.org.
