Gas Prices Creep Lower in Time for Holiday Season
Published at | Updated at(WASHINGTON) — Just in time for the big holiday season, now is apparently the time to gas up your car.
Gas prices are down 3 cents nationwide from last week, at $3.27 a gallon, according to new data from the Energy Department. That is a new low for the year, at about 25 cents cheaper than it was back in September.
In 34 states, at least one gas station has prices below $3.00 a gallon, AAA says, and that holiday cheer is gonna continue. By the end of the year, about 10 states could see gas near a three-year low.
