(GRACE, ID) – Two local high schools with rivalries going back for over a century could merge soon. Jamie Holyoak, who serves as superintendent for both the Grace and North Gem school districts, says both communities are considering a district merger. Administrators say many of the buildings in both districts are outdated, and that a $9 million bond would allow the combined district to merge the high schools into a new building, in addition to constructing a new elementary school in Bancroft. Officials plan to begin consolidation discussions with the public next month.
