Hepatitis A Reported at Women’s Prison

( POCATELLO,  ID ) – The Idaho Department of Correction is suspending outside visitation for about 90 inmates at the women’s prison in Pocatello . Officials say there has been a reported case of Hepatitis A in an inmate currently housed in Unit 2. The inmate arrived at the prison on Oct. 31, so the entire unit is under quarantine for at least two weeks in an effort to prevent the exposure of
the virus to the public. Those in the unit are being given vaccines and are being closely monitored as a precaution.
