Canadian television network CTV reported on Tuesday that a newly-released police document claims the video was shot just nine months ago. Ford had previously told the Toronto City Council that the incident took place “probably approximately about a year ago.”

The court reportedly learned of the existence of the video in May 2013, around the same time that the Toronto Star and gossip website Gawker published stories about the video.

The new police document deals with Ford’s friend Alexander Lisi, who is accused of extortion for placing “several threatening/extorting phone calls to individuals he felt may be in possession of the video recording,” CTV said.
