(DAVIE, Fla.) — NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell appointed attorney Ted Wells on Wednesday to direct an independent investigation into possible workplace misconduct with the Miami Dolphins. Wells will submit a report to Goodell, which will be released to the public.
“If the review reveals anything that needs to be corrected, we will take all necessary measures to fix it and to ensure this doesn’t happen again,” Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin said.
Miami indefinitely suspended lineman Richie Incognito on Sunday after teammate Jonathan Martin left the team due to harassment. Martin briefly checked himself into a south Florida hospital to be treated for emotional distress after he left he team, according to ESPN.
