Report: Miley Cyrus Tells Liam Hemsworth Sorry in Letter
(LONDON) -- If an unnamed source is to be believed, Miley Cyrus is having some regrets regarding her breakup from former fiancee Liam Hemsworth. The Sun reports Cyrus penned "a heartbroken open letter" to the Hunger Games series star.
"As time has gone on and the anger subsided, Miley has really started to feel the pain of their split," the spy tells the British paper, which reports Cyrus decided against pulling a Taylor Swift and singing about the breakup.
"She thought about writing some songs, but then decided why not write a letter to Liam to tell him exactly how she feels," the source claimed. "Miley admitted to Liam she has pushed him away and said sorry for acting so mad."
Some reports blamed the breakup of their brief courtship on Cyrus' wild-child behavior of late, including her controversial MTV Video Music Awards performance that introduced the entire world to the word "twerking."
By all appearances, both parties appear to be well and truly over each other: Cyrus was reportedly seen canoodling with musician Benji Madden at a Halloween party, while Hemsworth was spotted kissing Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez shortly after his relationship to Cyrus was announced to be officially over.
What's more, in December's issue of Cosmopolitan, Cyrus was apparently not too busted up about the bust-up.
"This is the best time of my life," she said. "I'm not going to look back on it and be like, 'I wish I hadn't been dwelling over a breakup,' you know? Because that's not what God wants my life to be about right now...God wants my life to be about being successful and being happy and blessing other people and being blessed."
