The 2011 MVP said he has multiple conversations with Dino Laurenzi, Jr., the collector he accused of mishandling his urine sample, and that the two have “made amends”. After his original sample resulted in a 50-game supsension, a MLB arbitor overruled the decision claiming the sample had been mishandled. Braun eventually accepted a 65-game suspension resulting from baseball’s investigation into the now-defunct Biogenesis of America anti-aging clinic in South Florida.

When asked if he offered compensation or apologized to Laurenzi, Braun said had not “made any payments to him. I’ve had some really productive and positive conversations with him.” The oufielder continued to express remorse but also said he was eager to get back to playing and hoped to remain in Milwaukee.
