Green scored 24 points and collected 10 rebounds in the huge win over New York.

“I thought tonight we played a good, solid B+, A- game,” Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said. “There were some good things out there.”

The Knicks dropped to 2-4 for the season and are 1-3 at home.

“We didn’t compete tonight. That’s just unacceptable,” Woodson said. “Right from the start, we let our offense, shots that we missed, dictate how we defended on the other end.”

Knicks All-Star Carmelo Anthony scored 16 points on 10 shots and sat on the bench most of the fourth quarter and wasn’t happy about the team’s performance.

“It was embarrassing for us to come here on our home court and lose a game like this,” said Anthony. “It wasn’t about losing a game. It was just how we lost the game. We didn’t compete today, and it showed out there on the court.”

Spurs guard Tony Parker dished out six assists and scored 17 in the win.
