(NEW YORK) — Toys R Us stores around the country will open at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day to accommodate customers eager to get an early start to the holiday shopping season.
The toy giant plans to open its doors three full hours before the now-standard 8 p.m. Thursday opening time for so-called Black Friday shopping. Additionally, Toys R Us will offer over 300 deals on toys, games and other gifts.
According to a press release, members of the Rewards R Us program will have the singular opportunity to benefit from the Thanksgiving Weekend deals and discounts as early as Wednesday Nov. 27.
Many of the toy chain’s deals are either available as “doorbusters” from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday or as classic Black Friday deals, lasting through 12 a.m. on Saturday. Additionally, most of the special offers will be available for online shoppers beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday Nov. 28.
Shoppers who spent $75 in-store between Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29 will receive a $10 coupon for use during the first week of December.
Toys R Us is looking to cater to the growing number of Americans who look forward to Black Friday and even Thanksgiving Day shopping deals, as have become custom all around the country.
