Visitation at Women’s Prison to Resume

(POCATELLO, ID) – Visitation for inmates in Unit 2 of the Pocatello Women’s Correctional Center has now resumed. Officials quarantined the unit, which houses 90 prisoners, after a recently transferred inmate tested positive for Hepatitis A. All inmates in the unit were vaccinated as a result. The liver infection is typically transferred by digesting contaminated food or water, or by direct contact with someone with the virus
