(ORLANDO, Fla.) — Cardinals junior quarterback Teddy Bridgewater tossed for three touchdowns and scored another one on the ground as No. 18 Louisville (12-1) stopped Miami (9-4), 36-9 in the Russell Athletic Bowl on Saturday Night.
The Hurricanes scored first when sophomore defensive back Deon Bush sacked Bridgewater in the end zone for a safety. From there, it was all Louisville, as they proceeded to score 36 unanswered points.
Leading 9-2 midway through the second quarter, Bridgewater connected with junior wide receiver DeVante Parker on a 26-yard touchdown. Later on, he would find junior wide receiver Michaelee Harris for a 12-yard touchdown to give Louisville a 22-2 lead heading into halftime.
Bridgewater finished the game 35 of 45 for 447 passing yards.
