Fiume/Getty Images(LEXINGTON, Ky.) — The Kentucky Wildcats lost a five point halftime lead but were able to hold off in-state rival #6 Louisville, 73-66 at Rupp Arena on Saturday afternoon. The win was Kentucky’s first over a top-25 team in four tries this season.

Four different players scored in double-figures for the 18th ranked Wildcats, including 18 points apiece from James Young and Andrew Harrison. Young also had 10 rebounds in the victory. Kentucky (10-3) got 17 first half points from star freshman Julius Randle to take a 41-36 lead at the half. Cramps sidelined Randle for the majority of the second half as he played just 21 minutes.

The sixth-ranked Cardinals used 7-0 run to start the second half and tie the game a 43-43. Louisville would take the first lead since early in the contest with 11:04 remaining when Chris Jones made a layup and the ensuing free throw for a 52-51 advantage. Kentucky answered right back with a 9-1 run of their own to take a 60-53 lead that they would not relinquish.

Russ Smith had a game high 19 points for Louisville (11-2) while Jones finished the day with 18.
