Blue Cross Allows Idahoans to Keep Policies
Published at | Updated at(BOISE, ID) – Nearly 100,000 Idahoans who received cancellation notices on their insurance policies can keep them for another year. Regence Blue Shield and Blue Cross of Idaho will not be cancelling insurance policies starting Jan. 1. The move comes amid sharp criticism against President Obama’s Affordable Care Act, which required insurers to have much broader coverage, and rendered many plans inadequate under federal law. Those affected by the extension will still need to find better coverage by Jan. 2015. Idaho’s own health insurance exchange is expected to be up and running by next October.
