(SPRINGFIELD, ID) – Authorities have identified the remains of a man found near Springfield last month.  Forty-two-year-old Charles Knippe of Aberdeen disappeared while fishing in June 2009. His boat was located that month, but divers tried unsuccessfully to find Knippe. Knippe’s remains were found Nov. 3, when hunters found a skull and other bones near McTucker ponds. Officials say the bones were in the vicinity of where Knippe’s boat was found four years ago.
