Chudzinski finished his first year with the Browns and was relieved of his duties following the teams 20-7 loss to Pittsburgh on Sunday.

In a statement released to the media, the organization praised Chudzinski’s contributions to the franchise but also said that a change was needed.

“We have great respect for him both personally and professionally,” the statement read. “We needed to see development and improvement as the season evolved and, unfortunately, we took a concerning step backward in the second half of the year.”

Cleveland finished the season with a 4-12 record, having lost their final seven contests. Chudzinski was hired on Jan. 11 after the Browns fired Pat Shurmur less than one year ago.
