(REXBURG, ID) – BYU-Idaho is seeking a permit to replace its old coal-fired boilers with new machines heated by natural gas. The
university has applied for an air-quality permit with the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality. The school will also install a new combustion turbine and emergency generators, all of which will be powered by natural gas.
