Dodgers Sign Chris Perez
Published at(NEW YORK) — The Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed on a one-year deal with closer Chris Perez, according to reports.
Perez was a two-time All-Star with the Indians made 56 appearances last season and had a 4.33 ERA with 54 strikeouts.
The Dodgers also have Brian Wilson, Brandon League, and Kenlsey Jansen, who will be the closer in the bullpen.
Perez was arrested in June after drug agents discovered a package containing marijuana was sent to his home in Rocky River, Ohio. He and his wife pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge.
Terms of the deal were not announced, but Perez made 7.3 million last season with the Indians.
