(POCATELLO, ID) – A Pocatello family welcomed home their son from military service overseas on Monday. Local News 8 reports that Army Specialist Jaron McAteer, who spent the last six months as part of a combined joint task force in Africa, made it home just in time for Christmas. McAteer’s family gave him a hero’s welcome, thanks in no small part to organizers from the local POW/MIA.. McAteer said he was thankful for the warm welcome he received, and stressed the importance of always remembering those who serve, not just during the holidays.
