The product, which is available in stores, gyms and online, reportedly contains harmful synthetic steroids. The FDA advises anyone currently using Mass Destruction to stop immediately.

The FDA decision comes after they were notified about a “serious injury” associated with the use of the dietary supplement by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. A 28-year-old male suffered from liver failure after using Mass Destruction for several weeks.

“Products marketed as supplements that contain anabolic steroids pose a real danger to consumers,” said Howard Sklamberg, director of the Office of Compliance in the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research.
