It’s a multi-year deal worth around $600,000 annually, according to USA Today.

Roper will still coach No. 24 Duke in the Chick-fil-A Bowl Tuesday against No. 21 Texas A&M.

Roper becomes the third offensive coordinator in the last four seasons for the Gators. He takes over an offense that ranked 113 nationally in scoring offense.

“I’m excited to have Coach Roper join our staff,” Will Muschamp said in a statement. “He has a diverse, up-tempo background on offense and does a good job of adapting to what the players do best. The most important thing, though, is he has always remained balanced.”

Roper has been Duke’s offensive coordinator since 2008. The Blue Devils ranked 68th in the nation in total offense, averaging 408.1 yards per game this season.
