Jobless Claims Fall Below 300K Ahead of November Jobs Report

glegorly/Thinkstock(WASHINGTON) — Jobless claims wrapped up the month of November by falling below 300,000 last week, the Labor Department reported on Thursday.
For the week ending Nov. 30, the number of people filing for benefits dropped by 23,000 to 298,000. The previous week, claims stood at 321,000.
The four-week average also went down, decreasing by 10,750 to 322,250.
Americans will get a better picture of how the job market fared last month when the Labor Department releases its monthly employment report at 8:30 a.m. ET Friday.
On Wednesday, payroll company ADP released a survey showing that 215,000 jobs were added in November, marking the most in a year.
