Bryant told reporters on Wednesday, “The spirits are fine, the focus is great. Just going to see what happens when I come back.”

The 35-year-old Bryant is one week into his six week recovery from a knee injury he suffered against the Memphis Grizzlies. He had just returned to the court after missing nearly the first quarter of the season recovering from a torn Achilles.

In six games this season, Bryant averaged 13.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game. He was starting to work his way back into the lineup effectively until getting injured again.

Despite not having Bryant for a majority of the season, the Lakers are exceeding many expectations as they sit at 13-16 so far this season.
