Following the team’s 117-90 loss to the Phoenix Suns, D’Antoni was frustated and told fans that they should “find another team to root for.”

At 13-15, the team hasn’t performed like Lakers’ fans have been used to over the years, and D’Antoni understands that now.

“I was an idiot last night,” D’Antoni sad on Tuesday. “I was out of my mind. I was ticked off. We didn’t play well and I said some stuff that I shouldn’t have. It was stupid. That’s me, I just made a mistake.”

The Lakers have dealt with a slew of injuries this season which has effected them on the court.

Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Steve Blake, and Jordan Farmar have all dealt with injuries that have kept them off the court for an extended period of time.
