(POCATELLO, ID) – Idaho lawmakers will take up a measure next month that could change how the state handles child abuse cases. Republican Sen Jim Guthrie of McCammon is drafting legislation that would establish a legal definition for a child advocacy center. The centers would then be used to assist law enforcement and the Department of Health and Welfare in providing proper care for victims of child abuse. Officials say organizations like Bright Tomorrows in Pocatello offer services that are crucial for victims to begin the healing process
