(PORTLAND, Ore.) — Blazers point guard Damian Lillard drilled the go-ahead three with 87 seconds left in the fourth quarter as Portland (23-5) tamed the New Orleans Pelicans (11-14) on Saturday night, 110-107.
Five players finished in double figures for Portland with Lillard leading the way with 29 points. Power forward Lamarcus Aldridge and shooting guard Wesley Mathews contributed 18 points each.
New Orleans had a chance to send the game into overtime, but power forward Ryan Anderson and point guard Tyreke Evans failed to convert beyond the arc with five seconds remaining in the game.
Portland has now won six of their last seven games.
