Overall Auburn (12-1, 7-1 SEC) gained a SEC championship game record 677 yards, including 545 yards on the ground.

Missouri (11-2, 7-1 SEC) hung in the game for a while, even taking the lead with 5:35 left in the third quarter when James Franklin threw his third touchdown of the day. But Auburn scored on its next three drives to pull away.

Auburn will now wait and hope that it can pass either Florida State or Ohio State in the BCS standings to earn a spot in the National Championship game.
