(BOISE, ID) – The highest paid public employee in the state of Idaho is leaving for the University of Washington. Boise State football coach Chris Petersen, who led the Broncos to 92 wins and 12 losses in only eight seasons, was hired by the Huskies last Thursday. Petersen is replacing Steve Sarkisian, a former BYU quarterback who was hired last week as the head coach at USC. Sources say Petersen, who is leaving behind a $2.2 million annual salary in Boise, will be paid $3 million per year leading the Huskies.
