In the video, Robertson tells a Christian congregation in Georgia that guys should marry girls as young as 15 and 16 years old.  In Robertson’s home state of Louisiana, 16-year-olds can marry with the consent of both parents.

Robertson says, “Make sure she carries her Bible. That’ll save you a lot of trouble down the road. And if she picks your ducks, now, that’s a woman.”

He explains, “They got to where they getting hard to find, mainly because these boys are waiting till they get to be about 20 years old before they marry them.”

Robertson then adds, “Look, you wait till they get to be 20 years old the only picking that’s going to take place is your pocket. You got to marry these girls when they are about 15 or 16. They’ll pick your ducks.  You need to check with Mom and Dad about that, of course.”

Robertson also shared that he once gave dating advice to a man, telling him, “Make sure that she can cook a meal. You need to eat some meals that she cooks, check that out.”

Robertson was briefly suspended by A&E following his GQ comments; he was reinstated on Friday.  Fox News Channel revealed on Monday that Duck Dynasty cast members Willie — Robertson’s son — and wife Korie Robertson will discuss the matter on the network’s All-American New Year special, which airs from 9 p.m. Tuesday through 12:30 a.m. ET.
