(POCATELLO, ID) – The reward for information leading to the arrest of a man who killed a hunting dog earlier this month is now at more than $1,600. Chris Mickelsen of Pocatello was hunting geese with his golden labrador near Springfield on December 8 when someone stopped on the road nearby and shot his dog. Mickelsen says his dog was wearing an orange vest and couldn’t be mistaken for a deer. Donors from John’s Paint and Glass and the Portneuf Animal Welfare Society are contributing to the reward. The suspect is believed to be driving a white flatbed Dodge pickup.
