(REXBURG, ID) – The search for a plane carrying two BYU-Idaho students that crashed in the central Idaho mountains has been suspended. The plane went down Dec. 1, and with consistent snowfall over rugged terrain, organizers felt it was best to call off operations on Thursday out of concern for the safety of volunteers. Five people were on the plane, including students Amber Smith and her fiancee, Jonathon Norton. The plane was flying from Baker City, Oregon to Butte, Montana at the time it disappeared.
