Six ISAF Troops Dead After Plane Crash in Afghanistan
Published at(KABUL, Afghanistan) — Six service members of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were killed in a plane crash in southern Afghanistan on Tuesday.
Defense officials confirm to ABC News that all six were American.
Additionally, one soldier survived the crash and was injured, defense officials say. The soldier’s condition has not been made available.
In a statement, ISAF said the cause of the crash is not yet known but “initial reporting indicates there was no enemy activity in the area at the time of the crash.”
The incident is under investigation.
