(IRVING, Texas) — Tony Romo may not be the only Dallas Cowboys starter missing Sunday’s winner-take-all game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Linebacker Sean Lee has been ruled out for Sunday due to a sprained neck, according to ESPN and media reports. Lee suffered the injury in a loss to the Chicago Bears earlier this month. He was planning to play against the Eagles, but the team fears the injury is more significant than originally thought.
Lee has often been referred to as the quarterback of the defense by defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin. He has 99 tackles to go along with four interceptions on the year.
Injuries have hampered Lee over the past several weeks as he also missed two games in November with a hamstring injury.
