(NEW YORK) — Texas head coach Mack Brown is expected to resign this week, reports ESPN.
Still, in a statement, athletic director Steve Patterson said on Tuesday: “We continue to discuss the future of Texas football. Mack Brown has not resigned. And, no decisions have been made.”
Since coming to Texas in 1998, Brown has led the Longhorns to two Big 12 championships (2005, 2009) and a BCS championship in 2005. Brown is 158-47 during his time in Texas.
The team will play in the Alamo Bowl against Oregon on Dec. 30.
