World Says Final Goodbye to Nelson Mandela

UN Photo/John Isaac (QUNU, South Africa) — Former South African President Nelson Mandela was buried Sunday in his home village of Qunu.
Thousands gathered for Mandela’s funeral, including several notable guests such as former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Britain’s Prince Charles, Reverend Jesse Jackson, retired Archbishop Desmond Tutu, and Oprah Winfrey.
The actual burial was to be private. The former leader’s body was flown on an Air Force C-130 plane from Pretoria to his final resting place and ancestral village, Qunu.
