(MINNEAPOLIS) — The Minnesota Twins traded catcher Ryan Doumit to the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday for left-handed pitcher Sean Gilmartin.
The 32-year-old Doumit spent the past two seasons with the Twins, where he batted .261 with 32 home runs and 130 RBI. The nine-year MLB veteran previously played for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 2005-2011.
The 23-year-old Gilmartin was with Triple-A Gwinnett of the International League for the majority of last season. In 17 starts with the Braves’ top farm club, he posted a record of 3-8 with a 5.74 ERA.
