An Amber Alert was issued for Alize Whipple, 6, who was last seen Wednesday in Fitchburg, Mass., getting on the school bus to go home. She was wearing a pink top, pink pants and pink sparkly shoes.

Police said they believe that Alize is with her mother Leeanna Wilson, 50, who does not have custody of the little girl.

“There is reason to believe Leeanna may cause harm to the child,” the Amber Alert announcement said.

Police issued the Amber Alert after the Department of Social Services went to court Friday to legally take custody of the girl, according to the Fitchburg Police Department. They would not comment on why social services took legal custody of the girl.

On Friday night, after the Amber Alert was issued by state police, a blue Buick sedan, which is believed to have been the car Wilson was driving, was found in Leominster, Mass., only a few miles from Fitchburg.

Neither Alize nor Wilson were found.

Alize’s aunt, Debbie Jackson. told ABC affiliate WCVB-TV in Boston that she doubts Wilson would harm Alize, but she was concerned for their well-being.

“Come on home, come on home because we are worried about both of your guys’ safety,” Jackson said.

Alize Whipple is described as African-American with dark hair. Leeanna Wilson is described as being Caucasian with strawberry blond hair. Anyone with information is asked to call the Fitchburg Police Department at 978-345-4355.
