(NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.) — (1) Florida State (13-0; 8-0 ACC) will take on (2) Auburn (12-1; 7-1 SEC) in the BCS National Championship this Monday Night at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
Led by Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Jameis Winston, the Seminoles are looking to win their first national championship since 1999 and put an end to the SEC winning the last seven-national titles. On the season, Winston has passed for 3,820 yards and 38 touchdowns against just ten interceptions.
The Tigers road to the title game began with a Hail Mary victory over Georgia, followed by a last second victory over then-top ranked Alabama, followed by a victory in the SEC championship over Missouri.
Kickoff is slated for 8:30 p-m eastern.
